Gerry’s wife Eileen, his sister, Kathleen and extended family wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who sympathised and supported us during our recent sad bereavement.  To our relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us in so many ways and helped at the wake – a sincere thank you.

 A special word of thanks to the Staff of the Omagh Palliative Care Ward who looked after Gerry with great dedication and where Gerry was cared for with such dignity in his final days. Your excellent care, professional support, warmth and diligence will never be forgotten.

To Fr Brian D’Arcy, CP, Fr Declan McGeehan, CC and Fr Kevin McElhennon, PP for their spiritual support during Gerry’s illness – a heartfelt thanks.

Thanks to the staff of the South West Acute Hospital for their care and support.

A sincere word of thanks to District Nurses – Rachel, Julie and Martina; Carers – Declan, Conor, Caroline and Clodagh; Ivan – Care for Cancer; Social Workers – Anne, Damien and Gillian for their attentive care and compassion.  To Claire and Marie for bringing the Padre Pio Glove to Gerry and to Philip for his support and friendship – thank you.

To all those who called at the house, attended the funeral, travelled long distances, lined the funeral route or who joined us via the webcam, sent Mass or sympathy cards or donations in lieu of flowers and those who left messages online or via social media – a very special thank you. 

To Fr Denis Dolan P.E, James, Joan, Cathy, Ciara, Fiona, John, Mark and Patricia, Sacristan who helped to make Gerry’s funeral Mass so special – a heartfelt thanks.

Thanks to Mickey, the grave digger who prepared Gerry’s final resting place.

To the ladies in St Patricks Hall for providing the refreshments after the funeral – a very special thank you.

We will be forever grateful to Fiona who supported us and provided care and comfort to Gerry during his illness.

To Gerry’s former team mates and members of Dromore GFC for the Guard of Honour and for carrying Gerry’s coffin to his final resting place – a special word of thanks.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Pat of McAtee Funeral Directors for their professional guidance, support and for the personal way in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

Thanks to Sharon, Radius Housing and Kathleen, his neighbour and the residents of Mullinacross Fold and those who supported Gerry in any way during his time there.

We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.  The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Gerry’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Saturday 28 May at 7pm.

We, the family of the late Vincent Hagan wish to express our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. We offer our heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and neighbours who helped in so many ways over the wake and funeral. Also, to all those who called to the house, sent cards, messages of sympathy, telephoned, sent flowers or donations in lieu of flowers. To those who lined the funeral route, attended the funeral or watched via the webcam.

Our sincere gratitude to all those who cared for Vincent, including the staff of Fintona Medical Centre and Una Cassidy – Chemist. To all the doctors and nurses of both the City Hospital and the South West Acute Hospital.

A special word of thanks to Fr. O’Reilly who administered the last rights and to Fr Sean Mulligan for his spiritual support and the comforting Requiem mass. Thanks also to the sacristan and everyone who assisted with the mass, especially our musicians Fergal and Stephen, and to our eucharistic ministers.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger Tommy for preparing Vincent’s final resting place. Also, thanks to Fintona Golf Club for providing the refreshments following the service.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Cleary Mary (nee McGale), Omagh, formerly of 7 Ardmore Avenue, Tamlaght Road, Omagh, died peacefully in Harold McCauley House, Omagh on Sunday 15th May. Beloved wife of the late Patrick (The Tailor). Treasured mother of Maria (Robert), Bernadette (Joe), John (Theresa), Patrick (Dympna) James (Anne) and Carmel (Tommy). Cherished sister of Jimmy, Dominic and the late Cassie Maguire, Michael, Harry, John, Joe, Sarah Bresnahan, Bridget Campbell, Brian and Rev Sister Maria-Goretti. Loving and devoted grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary will be reposing in her late residence from 8pm on Sunday 15th May, house private. Mary will leave her late residence at 9.30am on Tuesday 17th May for 10.00am requiem Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Omagh, followed by her burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Drumragh. Treasured brother of Mary Fleming, Lily McDermott, Cathal, Bridget Maguire, Liám, Jean Dorrian and the late Madge Russell. Cherished uncle to his nephews and nieces. Francy’s remains will be received in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona at 7pm on Tuesday 10th May. Francy’s requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Wednesday 11th May, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. We, the family of the late Marie O’Brien wish to express our thanks and gratitude to all who attended Mum’s wake and funeral, those who helped at the wake, made and brought refreshments and gave freely of their time and supported us through Mum’s passing.

We, in particular want to acknowledge and thank Fr. Sean Mulligan for his pastoral support and his devoted ministry to Mum in her final times on earth and also for the beautiful Funeral Mass enhanced by the lovely music sung beautifully by Louise Coyle.  Also to thank Fr. McEntee PP for his attendance at the wake and to the previous priests of the parish, Fr. Jim Moore and Canon Patrick Marron for the spiritual help always given to Mum and also to Fr. Kevin Connolly.

A special mention also to Anna Mellon who was always willing to help in times of need and who became a special friend of Mum’s and the O’Brien family.

To all the District Nurses who attended Mum in her final years and were always so respectful and kind we give thanks, also to the Doctors and Staff of Fintona Medical Centre and to all from Cassidy’s Chemist for their help and support.

Thanks also to those who sent Mass and Sympathy cards, conveyed their meaningful and kind words through text messages and social media and those who lined the funeral route.

Thanks also to those who donated in lieu of flowers, a donation for £250 has been made to Trocaire’s Ukraine Appeal.

Finally to McAtee Funeral Directors and Tommy and Gary Boyle for the dignity and reverence shown to Mum and to whom nothing was too much trouble.

Those who encountered Mum in their lives can be assured of her prayers for them in her Heavenly home.

Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated for Mum in St.Laurence’s Church, Fintona on Sat 14th May at 10am.

Enda passed away on the 3rd of April, a widely respected, much loved family man, husband, father, uncle and friend.  We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.  We have been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of mass and sympathy cards and private messages we have received. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Our thanks to those who called to the house, who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards, or flowers and those who left messages online or via social media. Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped out in so many ways, to help us grieve as a family.

We are also grateful for the intervention of nurse practitioner Cliff Walters who attended Enda in the weeks leading up to his hospital admission. We would also like to thank the N.I. Ambulance Service and the staff of the SWAH.

A special word of thanks to Father Patrick MacEntee for his spiritual support and the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially our musicians James, Patricia and Joan who provided the uplifting and reverent music. Thanks also to the much-appreciated catering service provided by the Dromore Ladies committee.
