Monaghan John, Fintona, died peacefully in Our Mother of Mercy Care Home Newry, formerly of Duncan Park Fintona on Tuesday 5th May 2020. Beloved brother of Bronagh Grogan and Fran. Devoted uncle of Niall, Anne, John, Sharon, Frances, Marian, Una, Bronagh, Susan and Joseph. John’s interment will take place in St Lawrence’s Cemetery Fintona on Thursday 7th May at 2pm. For those who wish to show a presence along the funeral route, John will leave Duncan park at 1.45pm and travel along the Dromore Road, Tattymoyle road and then the Lisdergan road for interment in St Lawrence’s Cemetery Fintona. In light of the Coronavirus virus and in the interests of health and safety within the community, the burial will be strictly private. A memorial mass to celebrate John’s life will be celebrated at a later date. Deeply regretted by his loving sister, brother, nephews, nieces and entire family circle. Our Lady of Knock pray for him.

Very sad to hear of John’s passing. Wonderful childhood memories of visiting John in Fintona with his parents. A wonderful cousin to my dad Liam and a true gentle man. Our thoughts are with Fran and Bronagh and John’s extended family. We are so sorry not to be with you at this sad time but look forward to meeting up to reminisce and talk about old times.

John was a very special and munched loved part of our family. A dear cousin to my dad Liam. We all thought the world of him and we are so sorry that we can’t be with you all at this time, but we look forward to being together to celebrate John’s life when restrictions are lifted, and we will share many many stories of very happy times spent with John. Johnny used to lift us in the Enterprise Ulster van every morning in the car park. Lovely man and loved the chat about the football. RIP John.
