The death has occurred of Dessie Sheridan, Omagh, Co Tyrone.

Sheridan Dessie, Omagh, Co Tyrone, formerly of 59 Edergole Road, Omagh, BT78 1QJ died tragically on Friday the 19th June 2026. Beloved husband of Anne (nee McLaughlin). Treasured father of Caroline Miller (Niall). Julie Hickley (Marcus) and Jason (Jane). Loving and devoted grandfather to Orla Moore, Abbie, Conor, Aaron, Hannah, Lucy, Alesha and his 4 great grandchildren. Cherished brother of Bridget Harkin, Seamus, Mickey, Pat Haigney, Rosaleen Hagan, Eugene, Nora Montague, Dermot and the late Maureen Gormley.

Dessie will be reposing in Grianan House Funeral Home, 4 Carnalea Road, Fintona, BT78 2BY from 7pm until 10pm on Monday 22nd June 2026 and from 12noon until 9pm on Tuesday 23rd June 2026.

Dessie will leave Grianan House Funeral Home at 11.20am on Wednesday 24th June 2026 for 12noon requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Drumragh, followed by his burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

For those who wish to show a presence on the funeral route Dessie will travel from the Carnalea Road, and along the Loughmuck Road, Edergole Road, Edergole Avenue, Laurelbank Road, and the Loughmuck Road to arrive at St. Mary’s Church at 11.50am.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, son, in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces and entire family circle and friends. Our Lady pray for him.

  3. We were so so sorry & sad to hear about Dessie. He worked at Lisahoppin for over 35 years & was part of the family especially to us kids . I am so pleased I met him recently at a vintage thing with mum & dad & will treasure that.

  5. So sad to hear about Dessie. A lovely man and my godfather. He was always smiling. Lots of happy memories like the sunny day in 1980 when Dessie came to my confirmation in St Lawrence’s in Fintona and gave me money to get ice cream after.
